Artist Statement:
Denise Wood is a Jacksonville native and long time artist and designer. Her jewelry designs draw on her fashion background and art training. Working with a variety of semi-precious stones, crystals, beads, silver and gold findings, Ms. Wood's designs are contemporary compositions - flawless in execution and timeless in attitude. Color plays an integral part in her designs and it is not uncommon to see playful applications of time honored color theories. Denise Wood's jewelry designs are currently being shown in numerous southeastern galleries. She is a First Street Gallery Owner and enjoys the challenge of creating custom heirloom designs.
